Nov. 14, 2003: NAMA Streamlines 2004 Spring Expo; New Focused Format Features Extended Daily Show Hours, Stand-Alone Education Programming

CHICAGO - The National Automatic Merchandising Association will streamline the 2004 NAMA Spring Expo into a two-day product exhibition complemented by a stand-alone educational program, according to an announcement made today by NAMA president and chief executive Richard M. Geerdes. NAMA's 2004 spring events will be held in Las Vegas, where the trade show will run April 1-2, with extended show hours, during a comprehensive educational program scheduled for March 31-April 3.

"[Next] year's NAMA Spring Expo will offer a two-day extended trade show format on Thursday and Friday with early morning education sessions concluding each day before the show floor opens," Geerdes explained. "Saturday morning will be devoted specifically to education. This gives participants the opportunity to benefit from each and every offering we've developed without conflict between exhibit floor time and education sessions."

The new streamlined Spring Expo features:

* Extended trade show floor hours on Thursday and Friday only, with exhibits open 10:00 AM-5:00 PM, April 1-2. Educational sessions will be held Thursday and Friday mornings prior to the trade show floor opening.

* The Second Annual Western Golf Classic to benefit the NAMA Foundation and various educational programs for AAMC, CAVC, CVC, IVC and NAVA will be held on Wednesday, March 31.

* The popular Quality Coffee Certification Program (QCCP) offered on Wednesday, March 31, as a special pre-exposition educational session.

* Saturday, April 3, will be devoted exclusively to Vending 101 and Coffee Fundamentals educational sessions.

"With these changes, attendees can save on travel costs, spend less time away from their businesses and still experience all the benefits of our Spring Expo," Geerdes said.
