MISSISSAUGA, ON, Canada -- The Canadian Automatic Merchandising Association will present its 2011 Don Storey Memorial Award to Lloyd Dauphinee of Bluenose Vending & Definite Food Service (Dartmouth, NS).

CAMA's top honors, which recognize outstanding service to the vending and coffee service industries, will be presented on Sept. 16 during the association's annual awards dinner in conjunction with CAMA Expo in Montreal.

Nova Scotia's Dauphinee has been a member of CAMA for 25 years, served on its board of directors and, for many years, held the position of president for the eastern region.

Yves Baron of Cafection Enterprises Inc., a manufacturer of single-cup coffee brewing equipment and veteran office coffee service operator, has been chosen for CAMA's 2011 Stuart Daw Gold Service Award. The award acknowledges exceptional contribution to the office coffee service industry in Canada and the U.S.

CAMA's 2011 Customer Service Award recipient is the late Albert De Novellis of Crane National Vendors, who died in 2010. His wife, Brenda, will accept the posthumous award. De Novellis is remembered by his clients and industry members for his personal approach and dedication to high standards of service across Canada.

Headquartered in Mississauga, ON, the Canadian Automatic Merchandising Association was founded in 1953. The 2011 CAMA Expo will be held Sept. 16-17, Friday-Saturday, at the Hilton Montreal Bonaventure. Go to vending-cama.com/EVENTS/expo2011.asp to obtain a scheduled and registration information.

Separately, the Canadian vending industry is preparing to accept redesigned high-denomination coins. In January 2012, the Royal Canadian Mint is expected to release its new $1 and $2 coins, which will have a multi-ply plated steel composition. CAMA reports that programming material for the new the coins is now available from suppliers of coin validation equipment used in the country.
