BRISTOL, PA -- Now available for download is the 2013 update for Megatouch Ion videogame terminals. The Ion touchscreen entertainment machine is a legacy product in the Megatouch family, which belongs to AMI Entertainment Network Inc.

The update is installed automatically on connected Ion machines owned by operators who have a subscription to AMI's online service. For operators who don't subscribe, but still connect their machines to the Internet, an update download can be enabled by visiting the Meganet setup page; a key is required to convert the software.

The 2013 release for Megatouch Ion has 12 titles described as "addictive," and eight of them are compatible with Tournamaxx. AMI said its Megatouch division has created more than 40 attention-grabbing "educational attract screens" designed to lure bar patrons to the games. The screens appear when the machine is in idle mode.

Visit Vending Times' news release section for more details on the update's games and features, or go straight to the source.

To support the software rollout, operators can download and print 11x17 location posters for their accounts. The posters highlight Ion 2013's two headliners: Monkey Bash World Tour, which features 30 levels of art coupled with its popular gameplay style, and Grimm Fairy Tales Photo Hunt, a "sexy-but-safe" version of Megatouch's flagship title featuring pin-up style art paired with the instantly recognizable gameplay of "two photos, five differences."

Ion 2013 downloads began on Oct. 1.
