BRISTOL, PA -- AMI Entertainment Network Inc. said it has completed its Ecast-to-AMI migration program. As of Feb. 8, all qualified and connected Ecast jukeboxes received the software update enabling them to run on the AMI network.

AMI said newly connected Ecast machines are still eligible for migration through the end of February, but must be connected no later than Feb. 25 begin the software upgrade, which takes 72 hours to load.

The migration of legacy NSM and View jukeboxes operating on the Ecast network is ongoing, AMI said. These older boxes require hardware conversion kits; AMI provides free updates to qualified backup hard drives. The jukebox company said all hardware conversions must be finished and registered by March 3.

Ecast closed its doors without warning on March 1, 2012, leaving hundreds of operators and thousands of bar owners without practical options to continue with coin-operated music. AMI, which became a secured creditor of Ecast, developed a migration strategy and implemented it shortly after the Ecast network shutdown. The migration gives former Ecast operators access to AMI's network and client software, and links their boxes to AMI's library of one million songs.

On March 4, Ecast servers will be fully decommissioned. Unconverted Ecast jukeboxes will become inoperable in the days following, AMI warned.
