ST. LOUIS, MO -- Coin Acceptors Inc. has released its $5 and $10 polymer Vantage software almost four months ahead of the Bank of Canada's schedule to start circulation of the new bills.
Operators can use the FP5 field programmer to install the software upgrades, or return their bill validators to one of Coinco's authorized service centers.
Coinco customers who have already purchased an FP5 programmer for Canada's most recent $20 polymer or $1 and $2 coinage updates can return it to Coin Acceptors Canada's Toronto location to have the complimentary update installed.
In addition, Coinco's MC7212 software, which includes the $5, $10 and $20 polymer series notes, will be available in late August. This is the last note series supporting the MC7212 bill validators. Customers have the option of returning the units to a Coinco authorized service center for updating or purchasing a MC7212 field programmer.
Coin Acceptors Canada branches are located in Toronto, Montreal and Calgary. The company can be reached at (800) 387-9300.
