ALEXANDRIA, VA -- The International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions announced new responsibilities for two veteran staff members. Eamon Connor advances to the post of director, education and certification programs, and Jeremy Schoolfield is promoted to editor-in-chief of the association's member publication Funworld.
Connor has served with IAAPA for 17 years, most recently as director of education programs and services. In his new post, he also will lead the association's new certification program, and will take charge of developing, implementing and reviewing programs to assist IAAPA members in achieving various levels of professional certification.
Schoolfield joined the IAAPA staff in 2004 following a career in print journalism as a reporter with newspapers in Indiana and South Carolina. He has won four writing awards during his tenure with IAAPA. Schoolfield most recently was senior editor of Funworld. He now assumes responsibility for all the editorial and production aspects of the publication.
