CONYERS, GA -- In an ongoing investigation that officials dubbed "Operation Jackpot," local law enforcement authorities simultaneously raided more than a dozen public locations -- along with at least one operator's home -- in Rockdale and Clayton counties during the first week of December.

At least 15 people were arrested, including the operator. Police also seized hundreds of alleged video gambling devices. Adult redemption games are legal in Georgia as long as noncash prizes are awarded, but officers connected with the sting operation said locations were making illegal cash payouts to winners.
