ORLANDO, FL -- Locking Systems International reports that it has been awarded a United States patent for its Universal Puck padlock. A total of 18 claims was awarded under the patent, LSI added.
The Universal Puck Padlock employs an innovative "universal spacer" to allow the end-user to change lock cylinders, thus enabling users to determine the level of security they require and then to configure the padlocks accordingly.
LSI's novel padlock accommodates most standard vending lock cylinders, among them Abloy, Medeco, Cobra 7 and CobraMatic -- 10 in all. The padlock body is constructed of solid hardened steel, with no visible shackle to cut or otherwise attack.
