CORONA, CA -- AVT Inc.'s newest self-service microstores not only accommodate a wide range of merchandise, but also connect users to an online store for virtually limitless shopping possibilities, according to the manufacturer.
If a customer likes a pair of shoes merchandised in the kiosk, for example, but wants to purchase them in another color or size, the machine's touchscreen interface can instantly offer that item in their preferred size and color through a dedicated connection to an online store. The item can then be shipped to the customer's home or held at a retail location for pickup.
The machines can be connected to any website, according to AVT, but are designed to connect patrons to the online store of the merchant whose product is featured in the machine, or one that AVT develops for them.
AVT said it will begin shipping the machines in the third quarter. Airports, transit stations, shopping malls, amusement parks, stadiums, universities, hotels, workplaces and apartment complexes are among its target locations.
