IRVING, TX -- CEC Entertainment said 10 of its Chuck E. Cheese's pizza-arcade stores are under development in northeastern Mexico. The new locations, which are being opened by CECFranquicias, S.A. de C.V., a franchisee, makes the American family entertainment company's foray into the Latin American nation.
Chuck E. Cheese's restaurants will open over the next five years in the cities of Monterrey, Torreón, Gomez Palacio, Tampico, Saltillo and Ciudad Victoria.
CEC president and chief executive Michael H. Magusiak said international development represents a significant long-term growth opportunity for the company to leverage the strength of its brand and earnings model.
Last November, Magusiak said CEC was actively searching for potential partners in Mexico, Colombia and Brazil, and is open to franchises throughout Latin America. | SEE STORY
