Jay Scanland Named New Valley-Dynamo President
BRISTOL, WI - Brunswick Billiards announced this week that Jay Scanland has been named president of its Valley-Dynamo division, effective Sept. 2, reporting to John Stransky, president of Brunswick Billiards. Scanland succeeds Bill Rickett as president of Valley-Dynamo. Rickett will continue as general manager, he earlier told VT, and will transition to a consultancy role later this year after helping integrate the operation with Brunswick Billiards. Scanland comes to Valley-Dynamo with more than 15 years of experience in both manufacturing and finance. He has spent more than six years at Boston Whaler, a subsidiary of Brunswick Corporation, where he was vice-president and chief financial officer. He has also worked with the Sea Ray Boats division of Brunswick where he gained considerable manufacturing experience.
Rowe, Ecast Sign New Agreement; Rowe Names Brady, Franco As Distributors
GRAND RAPIDS, MI , Rowe International and Ecast Inc. have signed a definitive agreement to extended their relationship and continue their strategic collaboration. Rowe manufactures a high-speed Internet jukebox that supports Ecast's digital music network. Rowe CEO Douglas Johnson said the relationship "continues to evolve" and that the jukebox maker will "provide solid support" for Rowe-Ecast machines. In other news, Rowe has named Brady Distributing as its exclusive Florida distributor (with the exception of the 10 northwest counties situated in the "Panhandle"). Brady, which has two Florida offices (Orlando and Miramar) has represented Rowe in the Carolinas and other areas of the Southeast for 22 years. Rowe has also announced that Franco Distributing (Montgomery, AL) will represent the line in Alabama and the Florida Panhandle.
Bay-Tek Finalizes Meltec Purchase
PULASKI, WI , Bay-Tek completed its purchase of Meltec on Sept. 5, three weeks after announcing its intention to do so. Meltec assets began shipping to Bay-Tek facilities soon after. As of Sept.10, all parts and service calls are being rerouted to Bay-Tek.
