ELGIN, IL -- United Food Group is highlighting the environmental benefits of its novel Perfect Servings bulk-loaded soluble products dispenser for offices with a "Go Green" sweepstakes offering the chance to win an electric moped or electric bicycle.
The Perfect Servings countertop dispenser, available in 3-, 4- and 5-select models, can eliminate the solid waste resulting from use of condiments in single-portion packets, canisters and boxes. Each selection is programmable to deliver a precisely metered portion of sweetener, creaming agent or any of a wide variety of allied products.
According to UFG president Bryan Real, a 3-select Perfect Portions dispenser can replace nearly 900 packets that otherwise would be emptied and sent to landfills, each time it's refilled.
In addition to reducing the office solid waste stream, Perfect Servings equipment also eliminates pilferage of packaged products by employees. "Small businesses lose nearly $500 a year from employees who take home sweeteners and creamer packets," Real estimates.
The Go Green promotion is designed to spur office interest in the Perfect Portions concept. Visitors to UFG's new website, perfectservings.com, can qualify to enter by answering three questions (the answers are not difficult to determine). An additional entry may be earned by providing the office manager's contact information. Entries will be accepted through May 15.
The new website includes information on finding distributors of Perfect Portions equipment and products, and on how an operator can become a distributor.
The Perfect Servings machines have a small footprint and use very little power. United Food Group offers a wide variety of soluble products suitable for dispensing through them, including granulated sugar, three types of sugar substitute, regular and flavored creamers, chocolate and cappuccino mixes, all in bulk packaging.
United Food Group also maintains a website at unitedfoodgroup.net, which describes the company's Victorian Inn line of soluble products and preparation equipment, including a freestanding kiosk. The complete line will be on display at the National Automatic Merchandising Association's OneShow in Chicago at the end of April, in booth No. 228.
