COLUMBUS, OH -- Shaffer Services is now Shaffer Entertainment. The new name and logo were unveiled during the celebration of the company's 25th anniversary earlier this year.
The music and games operation reported that the new name originated with the company's Indianapolis division, which has been operating as Shaffer Entertainment for several years. Renaming the entire organization serves to unite Shaffer's branches under one coherent brand name.
Shaffer Entertainment has been a leader in developing and providing location entertainment innovations since its foundation a quarter of a century ago. It administers more than 500 active teams in the leagues it has established, helping its locations to maximize revenue from games. Shaffer said it has striven to remain on the leading edge of fast-changing recreational technology.
Shaffer Entertainment was established in 1988 as a sister company of Shaffer Distributing Co., which began as an operating company in 1929. It soon became a distributor, and now is the oldest independent coin equipment distributing company in the United States.
