Atlas Closes Louisville, KY, Branch
CHICAGO -- Atlas Distributing closed its Louisville, KY, branch on August 31. According to Atlas president Jerry Marcus, the company continues to serve the same territory from its Cincinnati, OH, and Indianapolis, IN, branch offices. "These facilities are both 90 miles apart from Louisville and from each other," Marcus explained. "At one time it made sense to maintain three branches in this region when there were a lot of sales going on, but with today's relative lack of equipment we simply didn't need all three offices so close together."
