Green Mountain Coffee Roasters Completes Diedrich Acquisition

WATERBURY, VT -- Green Mountain Coffee Roasters Inc. has completed its acquisition of Diedrich Coffee Inc. for $35 a share of common stock in cash in a transaction valued at $300 million.

As a result, Diedrich Coffee is now a wholly owned subsidiary of the Vermont-based coffee roaster, which has integrated the company into its specialty coffee business unit. The combined company will operate manufacturing and distribution facilities in Waterbury and Essex, VT; Castroville, CA; Knoxville, TN; Sumner, WA; and Toronto.

Diedrich markets Diedrich, Coffee People and Gloria Jean's coffees through office coffee service distributors, restaurants, retailers and online. Green Mountain's specialty coffee business unit produces coffee, tea and hot cocoa
