SAN FRANCISCO -- Cantaloupe Systems has announced the availability of its Seed Cashless Variable Pricing structure, which allows operators to discount pricing to customers who pay with cash and charge full price to those who make card-based or mobile payments.
With just a few clicks of a mouse in the Seed Cashless Web application, the operator can define the price difference he or she wants and immediately apply it to a machine. Cantaloupe said the new plan will benefit the operator by boosting cashless profitability, and at the same time reward cash customers.
The new two-tiered cashless pricing structure is part of the technology company's "better together" approach to integrating cash and cashless vending in its Seed software. Service-to-service reconciliation reporting simplifies cash accountability and commission generation by using the same reporting periods for both cash and cashless vending. And integrated cash and cashless alerts automatically find problems with coin mechanisms, bill validators and cashless readers from a single Web application.
