THOMASVILLE, GA -- Flowers Foods has launched the first-ever snack cake sampling tour for its Mrs. Freshley's brand. The cavalcade got under way in Greenfield, IN (near Indianapolis) on Friday, May 27, and will wrap up in the St. Louis, MO, market on Sunday, June 2.
The Fresh Sample Series crew will be making pit stops at Kroger, Speedway, Quik Trip and Huck's store locations, handing out popular snacks, coupons and prizes.
Following the recent debut of Mrs. Freshley's new packaging and logotype
, Flowers is eager to get the word out about the freshness and great taste of its sweet snacks. The mobile team is sampling four Mrs. Freshley's favorites: Dreamies, Honey Buns, Sugar Donuts and Oatmeal Creme Cookies.
The crew also is distributing coupons for free Mrs. Freshley's snacks, allowing consumers to select from the more than 50 different Mrs. Freshley's snack cakes and pastries available in stores that are not being sampled on the tour. Sample Series participants also will have the opportunity to win a $50 gas card, courtesy of Mrs. Freshley's, at each pit stop. The brand also invites consumers to interact with Mrs. Freshley's on Facebook and using #MrsFreshleys on Twitter during the tour.
"This is a very exciting time for Mrs. Freshley's -- embarking on our first sample tour, celebrating our new logo and look, and bringing Mrs. Freshley's to life," said brand manager Meredith Butler. "We're looking forward to meeting loyal Mrs. Freshley's fans and introducing our delicious snack cakes to new customers."
Mrs. Freshley's products are available in vending machines, supermarkets and convenience stores.
