DES MOINES, IA -- Smart Industries announced today that it will be providing basic supplies for Cotton Candy Factory vending machines, previously distributed by VendEver LLC. VendEver, the former worldwide master distributor of the Cotton Candy Factory, recently discontinued its operation. | SEE STORY
The Cotton Candy Factory machine, which made its debut three years ago, is manufactured in Taiwan by Feiloli Electronic Co. Ltd. VendEver had an exclusive agreement to assemble the equipment in Nevada for shipment to vending operators in the United States, Canada and Mexico, in addition to representing it worldwide. Officials said the company was unable to reach an agreement with the manufacturer to continue distribution of machines.
Smart Industries Manufacturing Corp., which began in 1963 as a traveling amusement operation, started developing and producing equipment in 1985 -- initially crane games (the company pioneered the now-prevalent "joystick" control system), then sports and redemption games, self-merchandisers and photobooths.
Smart's Jim Dupree said the company has a "long-established relationship" with Feiloli. Information on Cotton Candy Factory supplies can be had by calling Dupree at (800) 553-2442 ext. 13, or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
