Automated Merchandising Systems introduced a narrow-cabinet glassfront multiproduct machine, the SlimGem. Also new from AMS is a small-item tray for its snack vender line, which can be configured to offer products of many sizes and shapes from a single shelf.
The SlimGem measures a compact 28.5" wide to meet the needs of smaller sites, or any location where space is at a premium. While the traditional description of its configuration would be "three-wide," AMS regards it as "three-narrow."
Offering three-across (wide) product selection for optimal variety in a narrow space, the machine stands 72" tall and measures 29.5" deep. Parts are interchangeable with most other AMS equipment, reducing the operator's parts inventory requirement. The slim vender is highlighted by new silver-look styling and incorporates a deeper delivery hopper to handle a wide range of products. Like all AMS machines, SlimGem is fitted with the company's Sensit guaranteed delivery system.
The new small-item tray accommodates various rack and spiral sizes and shapes, so a shelf can be configured to accommodate such things as gum, energy shots, breath mints and nonfood merchandise like batteries alongside conventional vend packages.
