ST. PAUL, MN — Automatic Products international, ltd. has introduced the “Premier 130 Series” of glassfront multiproduct merchandisers, the latest in the company’s long line of full-featured vending machines. APi also has redesigned its popular “Studio Series” with a stylish new exterior design and a variety of enhancements to meet the changing needs of consumers and operators alike.

Introduced at the NAMA National Expo in Atlanta, the new “Premier 130 Series” attracts attention by maximizing the product display. New “Stealth” styling focuses interest on the merchandise, which is further emphasized by brighter lighting that presents packages in their true colors while extending lamp life by as much as three times. An eye-catching two-line scrolling graphics display and changeable point-of-sale window facilitate communicating with customers.

The advanced electronics at the heart of the “Premier 130 Series” provide ease of use plus expanded functionality. The control system offers a variety of modes that can save time and money, including customized energy conservation periods, shut-down by selection, space-to-sales allocation, a time clock that automatically resets for Daylight Saving and Standard time, programmable “rolling” messages and a host of promotional capabilities.

The “Fast Track” programming keypad has been designed for fast navigation. Buttons are easily identified in plain text, and permit toggling between English and Spanish-language messages. Redesigned shelves move more easily, and the lower ones pull out straight for easy filling and improved ergonomics. And the “Premier 130 Series” incorporates an enhanced “Golden Eye” positive vend verification system with 12 sensors per side for maximum vend detection.

“Plug-and-play”-ready, each “130 Series” vender comes equipped with pre-inserted price rolls and selection numbers, speeding setup and saving expense.

APi’s “Studio Series” also has been extensively redesigned, and the results of this effort were on display at the NAMA National Expo. Upmarket exterior decor in the new “Metro” style is the most visible change, but enhancements have been made throughout.

“Metro” styling provides a larger viewing area, displaying snacks and other merchandise to best advantage – even the top row. Direct-menu navigation displays messages in understandable text, and the controller automatically recognizes peripherals with confirmation by way of a blinking LED indicator. The real-time clock also governs several programmable energy conservation modes, and a two-line scrolling message display and point-of-sale window augment the design’s ability to communicate with customers. Flexible front-panel design also allows the POS area to be replaced by an additional payment system to accommodate debit, credit and other cashless media.

Redesigned shelves slide out more smoothly, and the two lowest pull straight out for easier loading. The new “Studio Series” also incorporates the latest “Golden Eye” positive vend assurance system, with its 12 sensors per side.

Machines in the latest “Studio” line are able to host an adjacent APi “à la Carte” frozen-or-refrigerated food system to create a very economical full-line solution, the manufacturer reported. And the new controller board is compatible with APi’s novel “CHiP” program-cloning system for fast, accurate multiple machine setup. Rounding out the expanded feature set are full accountability, DEX compliance and space-to-sales programmability. Like the new “Premier 130” machines, the updated “Studio” venders come “Plug & Play” ready, with preinstalled pricing rolls and selection numbers.

Information on both lines is available from APi distributors throughout the country, or from the manufacturer at (800) 523-8363.
