MARTINS FERRY, OH -- Police here are baffled by a bulk vending robbery. According to local press reports, a thief smashed the window of the Convenient Mart c-store, entered the building and took nothing but a 4-ft. tall bulk vending machine.
Video surveillance shows the burglar heading straight for the vender and making his way out the back door, avoiding higher-value cigarettes and liquor. The machine, police said, was empty of both gumballs and money.
