MERIDA, Mexico – Bepensa Bebidas, a Coca-Cola bottler in the southeast of Mexico, has deployed a cloud-based mobile payment and marketing platform provided by a company called Mozido.
Mozido's initial services include mobile top-up and bill pay for consumers, and the company's mVault, a business-to-business digital payment-processing platform. Soon-to-come mobile services will include person-to-person payments, loyalty programs, and targeted marketing services featuring geo-targeted, real-time delivery and redemption of coupons, promotions and loyalty rewards on consumers' mobile phones.
Mozido's mobile marketing is enhanced by behavior-based analytics to help clients deploy highly targeted merchandising, pricing and marketing tactics.
"Over the years, CPGs have been dependent on their channels to adequately promote their product. Mass media is expensive and doesn't allow for truly directed advertising," said Raul Avila, general manager of Mozido Mexico. "Mozido is connecting consumers with merchants to deliver advertising and promotions to the right consumer at the right time on any type of mobile phone."
Mozido, which has offices in Austin, TX, Mexico and Jamaica, said its platform is interoperable and can work with virtually any wireless carrier or mobile device.
Bepensa Bebidas is the exclusive bottler of Coca-Cola products in the Yucatan Peninsula and has been producing soft drinks in Mexico for more than 50 years. It distributes 32 brands to more than 77,000 clients in Mexico and 60,000 clients in Dominican Republic.
