VERNON HILLS, IL -- Golden Tee players rejoice! Incredible Technologies has released the first-ever mobile app for its Golden Tee videogame. GT Caddy, a companion app available for download to Android devices from the Google Play store, is tailor-made for devotees and casual fans of the celebrated trackball golf game, according to IT.
An iOS version for Apple devices will be available in the fall, and instant updates with enhancements for all devices will be released periodically.
GT Caddy is free. It gives instant access to information that will enhance every Golden Tee fan's gameplay experience. Features include an interactive "find a game" locator, in-depth statistics and real-time Live Contest updates. Instant notifications alert players to their ranking in contests, maybe encouraging them to play again. The app also offers easy access to Golden Tee news and events, and the ability to download and instantly watch Great Shot videos.
Data for game locations are entered by machine owners of all registered Golden Tee Live machines in the U.S., Canada and UK. Great Shots, introduced in 2008, allows players to save a shot to their personal YouTube account. With GT Caddy, players can now watch those shots on their phones.
"Smartphones have quickly become a part of everyday life, and Golden Tee players are no exception," said IT marketing vice-president Scott Morrison. "By adding game-enhancing features to their phones, we will engage players more often and keep them thinking about their favorite game.
"The first version of the GT Caddy is packed with useful features, but this is only the beginning", Morrison added. "We have big plans in store for both the app and the game."
