ANNAPOLIS, MD -- Vend Natural said it has contracted with the United States Naval Academy to provide healthier snacks and beverages to its midshipmen undergraduates.
Vend Natural will provide the institution with vending machines stocked exclusively with all-natural and organic snacks and beverages, and Del Monte's packaged fresh-cut fruit and vegetables.
"We want our students to have the healthiest choices available to them in their on-campus environment," said Linda Rodrock of the U.S. Naval Academy's business services division. "Our midshipmen have physically and academically demanding schedules, and healthy eating is important to them."
Vend Natural says it currently operates more than 400 machines stocked exclusively with better-for-you products in schools, hospitals and businesses in 25 states.
