BRISTOL, PA -- AMI Entertainment Network Inc. is rolling out the 2011 Megatouch software release for Ion and Force platforms. According to the manufacturer, this will be the final software update for Force systems. Updates are available on DVD or can be downloaded.

The 2011 release features nine game titles for all Ions, two widescreen-exclusive offerings, a suite of Penthouse games with entirely new photography and fresh subject matter for such favorites as Photo Hunt and Trivia Whiz 2, among other content.

AMI leveraged its industry partnerships to bring Little Shop Road Trip to the 2011 update. This is the sequel to the hit Little Shop of Treasures, which made its debut in the 2010 Megatouch update; according to AMI creative director A.J. Russo, the initial release has built a large, loyal fan base, and the new version is expected to extend this success.

The Penthouse enhancement features "the latest photos of the hottest models," AMI reported. The 2011 Megatouch update includes the debut of the first tournament-ready erotic games for the countertop system. The manufacturer explained that Penthouse Panty Bandits and Penthouse Super Boxxi are strategy-based games that present models in a state of progressive undress, "giving players a little more to look at with each new level." The 2011 Ion platform allows the Penthouse suite's new photos to be displayed in three different ways: non-nude, R-rated or X-rated.

Other games in the 2011 array present varied visual experiences, from the ancient Japanese backdrop of Word Dojo 2 to the "futuristic fields" of Space Farmer. Along the way, players can contend with an unpredictable goalpost in Flick & Kick Football, test their card-playing skills in Trix and Final Table Hold 'Em, exercise their wits with the world puzzles of Mystery Phraze and pit their reflexes against the "breakneck speed" of Boxxi Blitz.

The ultimate software update for all Megatouch Force systems will bring the platform to a rousing conclusion, according to AMI Entertainment. The 2011 package includes the runaway 2010 hit Little Shop of Treasures, its new cousin Little Shop Road Trip, Boxxi Blitz and the updated Penthouse photo library with its new games, Penthouse Panty Bandits and Penthouse Super Boxxi.

The breadth and novelty of the 2011 Megatouch line "showcase the creative power behind our software," said AMI chief executive Mike Maas. "With the ever-changing nature of the coin-op industry, that creativity is the key to making Megatouch the best it can be for both our operators, and our players."
