BRISTOL, PA -- AMI Entertainment Network reports that more than 4,000 fans entered a contest to win a one-of-a-kind Ride snowboard signed by members of Paper Tongues. The contest was offered nationwide on broadband-connected AMI jukeboxes, which displayed short video clips that, when touched, took fans to a signup screen to enter their contact information. A jukebox patron from Dallas was the lucky winner.
Paper Tongues, discovered and managed by legendary producer Randy Jackson, released its self-titled debut on March 30 to positive reviews. "Ride to California," the first single from the album, has become a club hit, showcasing the band's signature mix of hip-hop beats, funk and energetic electronica. AMI partnered with Universal Music Group to promote the self-titled debut album on touchscreen jukeboxes.
AMI says similar music promotions have generated more than 9,000 submissions and increased plays off the album, even for weeks after the sweepstakes has ended.
Separately, AMI kicked off the Pin It to Win It Sweepstakes for jukebox operators only. It's described as having the company's biggest sweepstakes prize ever, with a chance to win an entertainment package valued at more than $15,000. The contest ends Oct. 1.
