As Incredible Technologies puts the finishing touches on its eagerly awaited real-time Silver Strike Bowling videogame, coin-op patrons in 50 select nationwide locations will be the first to put the new game through its paces. A special test run on Silver Strike Live plugs in on Tuesday, Dec. 15, and is being conducted exclusively by Club Lucky operating companies.

Club Lucky Group LLC is an association of some three-dozen amusement companies who provide representation in every large U.S. market. Its principal activity is conducting national tournaments and contests with substantial prizes. The group describes its associates as respected members of their regional business communities, who are committed to operating the best, most appropriate music and amusements equipment. Their primary emphasis is on tavern and restaurant accounts.

"The player always comes first with Club Lucky operators, and to be successful a test of this type needs to generate a lot of gameplay quickly," said IT marketing director Gary Colabuono "We felt Club Lucky locations would afford us the best opportunity to test Silver Strike Live to the widest possible audience, while still allowing us the control we need at this stage of development. We appreciate their assistance in this important test."

The online-enabled version of IT's realistic tenpin trackball bowler is slated for an industrywide release on Feb. 14. The original Silver Strike Bowling model made its debut in 2004 and has been steadily building a fan base ever since.

"Just like Golden Tee Live, every game of Silver Strike Live will count -- whether for fun or for prizes," Colabuono said.

The main feature in the new live version is "prize play," which puts 50 players together in a real-time $50 tournament. Players insert an extra $1 to compete. The top 20 players win cash, with $10 going to first place. Prize play is available in Silver Strike's classic bowling or new spare challenge modes.

Additional information on the new game and a list of the 50 Club Lucky test locations are available here.
