CHICAGO -- Innovation will be the dominant theme at the National Automatic Merchandising Association's upcoming OneShow, which will host the association's inaugural Innovation Awards recognizing the industry's most original products, ideas and services.
All exhibiting companies at the show, which will be held April 28-30 at Chicago's McCormick Place West, are invited to enter innovative products and services for judging. This can be done online by visiting namaoneshow.org and submitting an application by March 19.
Entrants in the awards program will automatically qualify for an iSpot symbol to place in their booths, calling the attention of showgoers to new ideas and innovations in the exhibit area. Individual award winners will be selected from these entries.
Chosen by an independent judging panel of innovation experts, award-winners will be recognized for breakthrough thinking, products or processes that advance the industry's image, growth and profitability.
Judging panel members include Dr. Lisa Gundry, director of the Center for Creativity and Innovation at DePaul University in Chicago; Bennett Brenton, chief innovation officer and vice-president of innovation at tool manufacturing icon Snap-on; and James Proebstle, founder of Prodyne Inc., a consultant with expertise in sales organization strategy to improve business results and customer satisfaction.
