CINCINNATI -- AdvancePierre Foods is rolling out the Fast Fixin' Sandwich Bar, a new self-serve program that allows foodservice and c-store customers to customize their own hot sandwiches.
AdvancePierre provides the operator with fully cooked sandwich meats in a pre-packaged tray designed specifically for the Fast Fixin' station. This allows employees to heat the meats in a microwave, conventional or convection oven in the "moisture-lock" packaging without handling the individual product. Heated meats maintain their temperature and freshness for up to four hours in the Fast Fixin' branded countertop display case.
The Fast Fixin' Sandwich Bar program currently offers Angus beef, breaded chicken and barbeque pork rib patties, along with fresh toppings. AdvancePierre's buns are available individually wrapped for use with the Fast Fixin' Sandwich Bar. The company said it is developing additional products.
AdvancePierre Foods supplies a wide range of convenience foods to the vending, foodservice, school, retail, club and convenience store channels.
