MELROSE PARK, IL -- Now available from Stern Pinball Inc. is a protective cover system that wraps around a game to protect it for transport, and while in storage.
Crafted in Chicago of durable, water-resistant canvas with a soft, blanket-like interior lining, Pinball Armor envelops the game in a single layer of padding, with two layers protecting the head and backglass.
In use, a padded rectilinear sleeve is slipped over the head, which is lowered to a horizontal attitude on the body and secured with hook-and-loop fastening straps. The main wrapper then is drawn over the piece, head and all. Flaps descend on the sides and ends; one of the side flaps is long enough to be folded under the bottom of the cabinet and secured with padded hook-and-loop straps, to protect the underside of the game. When the other side and end flaps also are secured, the game is ready to move or store.
Legs may be removed with the cover in place. If desired, they then can be placed in a sturdy fabric roll-up envelope for easy, safe transport or storage.
"Our team is thrilled to offer machine owners a quality, handcrafted cover that will preserve the life of their machines," said Gary Stern, chairman and chief executive officer of Stern Pinball, Inc. "Pinball Armor was created with ease-of-use and optimum machine protection in mind."
Pinball Armor is available now through authorized Stern distributors and dealers. It is demonstrated in an informative video posted on YouTube.
