BRISTOL, PA -- An audit of the most-played songs on the AMI Entertainment Network shows Toby Keith's "I Love this Bar" as 2009's No. 1 single on AMI-powered jukeboxes. AMI, one of the world's largest jukebox companies, released this week its top 100 played jukebox songs of the year. Country and rock classics of the past decade dominate the list.

Coming in at No. 2 was Nickelback with "Rockstar." The band had an incredible year on the AMI digital jukebox network, the company reported. With an estimated 4% of total network plays -- more than some genres altogether -- Nickelback moved into AMI's "classic jukebox band" category. Kid Rock, 3 Doors Down and Buckcherry are among the contemporary artists to reach "classic" jukebox status.

The Zac Brown Band's "Chicken Fried" was AMI's No. 3 song of 2009. The single was a big reason for the success of the band's debut album, AMI said, which was a huge hit overall.

Lady Gaga had a breakout year on the Billboard charts and is the only contemporary pop star in AMI's top 10. Her monster hit "Poker Face" came in 7th place.

The rest of the AMI list consists of tunes that span modern music history, with Janis Joplin's classic "Me and Bobby McGee" even scoring a spot.

"We are very excited to be publicly releasing our network's Top 100 Most-Played Songs for the first time," said AMI president and chief executive Mike Maas. "Many of the songs in today's top 100 are very popular and are regularly heard on the radio, but the list also reveals that millions of consumers rely on our jukeboxes to hear their favorite classics from years past."
