ROSEMENT, IL -- Arachnid Inc. hailed its 27th anniversary BullShooter International Finals "a huge success," with Team U.S.A. winning the International Cup. The American team of Bob Hudzik, Ben Dersch, Eric Blackledge and Scott Miller (pictured here) beat some of the best soft-tip darters from Belgium, Germany, Japan, Portugal and Spain to win the cup.
The Bullshooter final event took place at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare here from May 24 to 28. According to Arachnid, player participation increased over last year's tournament.
This year's Most-Valuable Player Awards in the Bullshooter circuit were presented to Shea Reynolds of New Port Richey, FL, and David Cameron of Canada, both of whom achieved outstanding placement over the weekend tournament in the main darting events. Illinois-based Arachnid is a pioneer in the development of electronic dartboards. This year's Bullshooter tournament featured the company's new Galaxy 3 dartboard, which won the prestigious Innovator Award given by the Amusement and Music Operators Association. Galaxy 3 has two target sizes (13" or 15" boards can be flipped) and LED illumination. It supports remote play and built-in league management, and delivers real-time player statistics.
