CHICAGO -- The National Automatic Merchandising Association today announced its 2014 vending industry award-winners.
Leading off the winners' roster is Marcus Whitener, who is NAMA's Industry Person of the Year. Whitener, a NAMA board member, is chief executive of Refreshment Solutions (New Orleans).
"Marc is an excellent choice as the person of the year," said Dean Gilland, NAMA's vice-president of sales. "He's committed to the industry as well as his community. We're very excited for him."
NAMA's other award winners are:
» Dan Marchetti, Rendezvous Music & Vending (Eureka, CA), Vending Operator of the Year.
» David Henchel, Corporate Coffee Systems (Westbury, NY), Coffee Service Operator of the Year.
» Randy Smith, LightSpeed Automation, Allied Member of the Year (vending).
» Bryan Real, United Food Group, Allied Member of the Year (coffee).
NAMA will present the awards during the OneShow at Chicago's McCormick Place, April 9-11.
