MONTEBELLO, CA -- Wilbur Curtis has developed a device that ensures decanters are serving coffee at its peak of freshness. The FreshTrac digital indicator, available only on Curtis Alpha GT brewers, starts to track the freshness of a batch when the brew cycle begins. It alerts the operator with a visual indicator when coffee is no longer at its peak freshness and a new brew is needed.
Freshness settings, which can range from 10 to 120 minutes, are transmitted to a FreshTrac receiver that snaps onto any Curtis decanter handle. Once the desired freshness time has expired, the indicator will begin flashing red every five seconds until a new pot of coffee is brewed.
Alpha GT brewers provide digital control over brewing time and temperature, and are available in vertical, left, right and deluxe configurations, with a range of one to six warmers. Wilbur Curtis also markets the Gemini and Primo Cappuccino brewers, along with the new Curtis Gold Cup single-cup system.
