PHILADELPHIA -- Aramark's board of directors has elected Eric J. Foss (show above, left) as president and chief executive of the company, effective immediately. Joseph Neubauer, who served as Aramark's chief executive for 29 years, will remain as chairman of the board of directors, to which Foss was also elected.
Foss, 53, led Pepsi Beverages Co., a division of PepsiCo with about $20 billion in revenue and 80,000 employees, as chief executive beginning in 2010. During his tenure, he guided the reintegration of Pepsi Bottling Group and Pepsi Americas into PepsiCo. Prior to the merger, Foss was chairman and chief executive of Pepsi Bottling Group. He spent 30 years of his career in the Pepsi system.
Aramark's 250,000 employees provide contract foodservice, facilities management and uniform and career apparel to businesses, healthcare institutions, universities, schools, stadiums and parks in 22 countries.
