ALEXANDRIA, Australia -- Stern Pinball Inc. reports that its Australian distributor has opened a specialized pinball office at its headquarters in order to meet the demand created by the worldwide resurgence in flipper game awareness and sales.

Amusement Machine Distributors is based in Alexandria in New South Wales, the largest Australian state. In addition to Stern pinballs, AMD distributes video and redemption games.

"Our minimum target is to double our Stern Pinball sales in 2011," said AMD managing director Bruce Colbourne.

"AMD's new pinball office is a great way to sell more pinball machines," observed Gary Stern, founder and chief executive of Stern Pinball. "The ability of the customer to touch and feel the product always makes for a better buying experience."

Stern Pinball Inc. is the world's leading manufacturer of arcade-quality pinball games, including Tron, Avatar, Iron Man, Batman, Spider-Man, The Rolling Stones and Big Buck Hunter, among others. All machines are handcrafted by Stern's expert team in Melrose Park, IL.

AMD will be exhibiting at the upcoming Amusement and Vending Trade Show in Melbourne. The show, sponsored by the National Vending Association and the National Amusement Machine Operators Association Ltd., will be held on Oct. 14 and 15. For more information, click here.
