BRUSSELS -- Belgian food company Herta launched tiny Knacki FootBall meatballs with a vending promotion that pitted patrons against legendary soccer star Leo Van Der Elst -- inside the vending machine.

When passersby pressed a button, a door opened to reveal Der Elst, who challenged them to a game of microscopic soccer. Challengers who got the ball past the former defensive midfielder on the tiny soccer field got a free package of the soccer ball-like meatballs.
