DALLAS -- Knight Educational Products, a unit of Knight Electronics, is offering custom toolkits, consisting of tools and cases, to meet the needs of a variety of skilled trade industries including automotive, computer and networking, electrical, fiber optics, telecommunication, refrigeration, construction and plumbing.
"Each skilled trade field is highly specialized," said David Luna, Knight's vice-president of sales and marketing. "With the custom tool kit option, we are now able to let both students in apprenticeship or training programs and professional technicians decide exactly what tools they need for their application-specific area of expertise."
The tools and tool cases are rugged and designed to provide skilled trade professionals with years of service, he added. Most tools have lifetime or limited lifetime warranties.
Customers can choose from more than 80 tools and six different hard and soft cases when specifying tool kits tailored to their requirements. Knight's tools for skilled trade industries include cable cutters, cable/LAN testers, clamp meters, chisels, couplers, crimp tools, hammers, hex key sets, manifold gauge sets, multimeters, nut and other drivers, pliers, safety glasses, scientific calculators, sets, shoehandle and "knuckle saver" brushes, tape measures, telescopic mirrors, wire strippers, wrenches and more.
The tool case options include an expandable saddlebag; 15-pocket nylon tool case; C-3 case and large tool pallet, with an optional divider set; basic padded zipper case; aluminum "camcorder style" tool case; and a 20" steel toolbox. All bags can be embroidered with company or school logos.
