COLOGNE, Germany -- Plans are taking final form for the fifth presentation of Eu'Vend, an international vending trade fair first staged in 2002. Coffeena, an exposition devoted to specialty coffee, will be held simultaneously for the second time.
Themed "Visions of Vending," the 2011 show already has attracted a stellar lineup of industry-leading exhibitors. They include Azkoyen, Barry Callebaut, Bianchi, Coin Acceptors GmbH, Deutsche Wurlitzer, Huhtamaki and Kraft Foods, along with Kuchenmeister, MEI and National Rejectors Inc. GmbH, as well as N&W Global Vending GmbH, Rheavendors, Saeco Vending s.p.a. and Servomat -- more than 200 to date. It is expected to attract some 5,000 industry professionals, 40% of whom will hail from countries other than Germany.
Representatives of Eu'Vend hosted an information booth the National Automatic Merchandising Association's recent convention and exposition in Chicago to help publicize the event.
Coffeena, which made its debut in 2009, drew more than 3,550 trade visitors and 84 exhibitors at its inaugural presentation. On display at the second staging this year will be a range of products, from beans and roasting equipment and brewers to packaging and condiments.
Eu'Vend originated as a vending-specific section of the great Anuga international foodservice show in Cologne. It is sponsored by the German vending operations association BDV (Bundesverband der Deutschen Vending-Automatenwirtschaft e.V.). Coffeena is staged in partnership with the Deutsche Röstergilde.
Both shows are run by Kölnmesse (Cologne Trade Fairs), which maintains an office in Chicago for the convenience of prospective exhibitors on this side of the Atlantic.
