AMI ML1 Mystical Strike

BRISTOL, PA -- AMI Entertainment Inc. reports that the 10% revenue share promotion conducted in April for its flagship Megatouch ML-1 was a smash hit with operators, and as a result, the lower rate has been adopted as a permanent feature of the company's business model. The original rate was 20%.

ML-1 is Megatouch's next-generation multi-touch gaming terminal, supported by the brand-new Megatouch Live global amusement gaming network.

Shown here is an ML-1 terminal running new Mystical Strike, a "tower defense" game that challenges players to shoot down colorful meteors to protect their castles.

AMI explained that ML-1 machines purchased prior to the start of the promotion initially were ineligible for the promotional reduction. With the upgrade from promo to permanent, all ML-1 hardware will now share the same benefits. The new 10% rate will appear on April invoices.

"AMI does all that it can to listen and respond to our operator's needs, so we will work on a smaller profit margin to keep the operator healthy," said Jim Roe, AMI games division director of domestic sales. "We are excited and fully committed to offering the 10% sweep as a permanent part of our business model, and keeping our operators successful."

Through Megatouch Live, AMI delivers a cloud-based service enabling players to track scores and performances from any ML-1 machine. Players can collect points from new in-game challenges, share scores with friends through Facebook Connect, and see how their own high scores compare to the top players around the world.

Megatouch Live also offers a new way for players to dominate their favorite games by using "tokens," a virtual currency that players can redeem for special powers and abilities in all the ML-1 games. Tokens can be purchased and redeemed at every ML-1 machine, and are tied directly to a player's free Megatouch Live account. This account provides access to all the player's accomplishments and high scores, and includes a guarantee that they will never see repeat content.

Periodic updates from AMI give the ML-1 a regular supply of new games and content at no extra cost, ensuring that players always have the latest Megatouch games at their fingertips. These include Tournamaxx Classic, which brings the excitement of the original Tournamaxx system to hardcore players nationwide.

AMI Entertainment Network provides entertainment solutions to over 125,000 barrooms and restaurants around the globe. The company is steadily expanding its digital portfolio to touchscreen PCs and mobile devices.
