TouchTunes Rocks Market With Large-Screen Ovation Wall Model, CD-To-Digital Update Kits

Marcus Webb

LAKE ZURICH, IL — TouchTunes Music Corp. is expanding its digital downloading jukebox line with Ovation, a wall-mount model outfitted with a 19-in. monitor, and new CD-to-digital conversion kits that can upgrade wall-mounted CD jukeboxes made by NSM Music and Rowe International to TouchTunes-compatible online jukeboxes.testing

Ovation’s larger monitor yields a viewable area 60% larger than the typical 15-in. screen, and the jukebox is equipped for both broadband and dial-up connectivity. CEO John Parrachon termed the unit “big and beefy,” saying its size and styling command attention. Ovation is designed for locations that don’t require a compact digital jukebox to fit the available wall space.

Dimensions of the durable cast-aluminum case, another industry first, are 38 ins. H. x 28 ins. W. x 12 ins. D. Ovation utilizes the same interchangeable parts as its Allegro stablemate, including the monitor and TouchTunes’ exclusive fanless MJS computer and fanless digital amplifier.

TouchTunes said its compact Maestro II wall model, which measures a slim 32.5 ins. H. x 10 ins. W. x 8 ins. D. and is outfitted with a 15-in. TFT display, will remain in the company’s line.

The company’s new conversion kits also feature 19-in. LCD touchscreen displays and can connect to the TouchTunes network with either broadband or dial-up services. Components are identical to those employed in TouchTunes’ Ovation wall-model and the Allegro floor-model, simplifying field service operations, officials said.

According to the company, the kits will convert NSM Music CD wall-mounted jukeboxes Digital Thunder, Emerald Ice, Fire, Firebird, Firebird II, Fire Country, Performer Wall and the Wizard. A kit is also available to convert Rowe ’s Berkeley and Storm 100 CD wall models.

A “Buy-One-Get-One-Free!” sales promotion for update kits runs through August 31 or until 1,200 are sold. The offer reduces the kits’ cost to $1,449 each.

TouchTunes is the leading provider of digital music to jukeboxes. Its music library offers more than 600,000 licensed songs, which can be managed by operators remotely.  For additional information, call (888) 338-5853 or visit touchtunes.com.
