FOWLERVILLE, MI -- Officials at a high school here suspended 25 students who reportedly admitted to stealing snacks from a vending machine.
The Fowlerville High School students served two-day suspensions for stealing an estimated $5 each worth of snacks. No criminal charges are expected, according to the Associated Press, which reported that the investigation was handled by Fowlerville High School officials.
The vending machine belonged to the school's foodservice program. Administrators noticed the thefts of chips and other snacks when the collections in the machine's cashbox didn't match up with the amount of snacks that had been removed. They have decided to remove the machine, according to AP.
