WARREN, MI -- The National Association for Business Resources, a research firm based here, named Incredible Technologies, maker of Golden Tee Golf, one of Chicago's "101 best and brightest companies to work for."

NABR and an independent panel of judges select the winners. Award criteria include diversity, work-life balance, compensation and benefits, employee education, retention and community initiative. This year's award marks IT's third straight win.

In addition to coin-op videogames like Golden Tee Golf, IT now develops iPhone apps, home games for Wii and the Magic Touch gaming line.

Incredible Technologies, which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year, employs 140 people. IT human resources director Cory Christensen said that winning the award for three years straight reflects the company's core philosophy, which is an employee-friendly atmosphere fostering success in every facet of business.

"A productive, satisfied, invested employee is the best kind to have," she said. "Our three-peat indicates that our owners have been successful in making sure every employee knows the value that both their job and person bring to our company."

IT and its employees have won dozens of awards throughout the company's 25-year history. Most recently, Magic Touch, which is testing in various casinos, received an innovative technology award. And president and chief executive Elaine Hodgson, a former NASA scientist turned videogame designer and entrepreneur, was named one of the "Great Women of Gaming" by a trade magazine.

NABR will present its "best and brightest" awards on Aug. 2 during a ceremony at the Oak Brook (IL) Marriott.
