CHICAGO -- The National Automatic Merchandising Association has declared September "National Coffee Service Month," and has prepared a variety of promotional materials that operators can use to celebrate the occasion with their clients.
Howard Chapman, Royal Cup (Birmingham, AL), who chairs NAMA's Coffee Committee, observed that "September is the perfect month to celebrate office coffee." The program builds on existing efforts, including National Coffee Week and National Coffee Day, which also take place in September.
"From small customer appreciation events to fundraising, we encourage operators to leverage the opportunities that are possible by working together as a group of business owners to build awareness of coffee service and ultimately drive sales," Chapman explained.
NAMA has sent its members a National Coffee Service Month toolkit that offers ideas and suggestions for implementing a marketing campaign tailored to the operator's market area and client base. The kit is available in electronic form at the association's members-only website.
