Celebrating NAMA Foundation Scholarship Program's Tenth Anniversary
CHICAGO -- June 7, 2013 -- The 2013-2014 NAMA Foundation Scholarship Program will award five $2,500 scholarships to NAMA members and their children, the association announced today. Since the program's inception in 2003, the NAMA Foundation has awarded more than $140,000 to college students affiliated with NAMA.
"Since as an organization we believe so strongly in education and continuous learning, we are very proud our Foundation offers this opportunity to deserving students," said Joann DeNardis, NAMA's Director Education/Certification. "We encourage all who qualify to submit an application as we continue to celebrate the achievements of the 56 NAMA Foundation scholarship recipients throughout the last ten years."
Applications must be received by October 15, 2013. Winners, chosen at random on November 18, 2013, must meet the following criteria:
» Must be a graduating high school senior or student enrolled full-time (minimum 12 credit hours per semester) in a college undergraduate program at an accredited college or university.
» Must maintain and verify a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale or equivalent.
» Must be a full-time employee (minimum 40 hours per week) or the son/daughter/legal dependent of a full-time employee of a NAMA member company and be sponsored by that company.
» Must be an American citizen.
