Hormel Lines Up Successors For Retiring Execs

AUSTIN, MN -- Hormel Foods announced the upcoming retirement of two executives and the promotions of their likely successors.

Richard A. Bross, Hormel group vice-president and Hormel Foods International Corp. president, and Ronald W. Fielding, Hormel executive vice-president of corporate strategy, planning and development, will both retire at the end of October.

James P. Snee, vice-president of Hormel and senior vice-president of Hormel International, will succeed Bross. He began his career with the food company in 1989 and assumed his current position in 2011.

Fred D. Halvin, currently Hormel's director of corporate development, will succeed Fielding. He joined Hormel in 1985 and has held a variety of positions, including cost analyst, assistant controller, treasurer and director of investor relations. He advanced to his current position in 2008.
