LAKE GENEVA, WI -- The Illinois Automatic Merchandising Council has elected Jennifer Saverino of Saverino & Associates Inc. (Carol Stream, IL) to a two-year term as president. The election was held at the group's annual meeting here.
Saverino is executive vice-president of Saverino & Associates, a pioneer brokerage and marketing company that covers the Midwest. Her election to the IAMC presidency is a milestone for the association; her father, Frank Saverino Sr. was 1996-98 IAMC president. This year, for the first time, a daughter has been elected to the position her father had held. He remains active in IAMC, serving as a trustee of the association's political action committee, IVPAC. He also is mayor of Carol Stream.
Jennifer Saverino has been an active IAMC participant for 25 years, serving as a director and holding a number of board positions. She has been recognized for her service with the IAMC's Humanitarian Award in 1990, its Extraordinary Service Award in 1991 and Dedication and Support Award in 1992. In 1998, she was the winner of the IAMC Exemplary Service Award, and received its Distinguished Service Award in 2011.
The IAMC president-elect observed that she is grateful to the association for the good work it has done on behalf of the industry since its formation in 1966, most notably in the areas of legislative liaison, educational programs and public relations activities. She is committed to building on this tradition.
IAMC is a state council of the National Automatic Merchandising Association.
