SEARCH TERM MARKHAM, ON, Canada -- Unis reports that its new Cowboy Shootout game and recently introduced Veggie Blast are proving popular with operators.

Cowboy Shootout challenges players to engage multiple stationary and moving targets with a tethered laser-pointer pistol. It rewards fast, accurate shooting; hitting consecutive targets doubles the player's points, and any target hit during the final 10 seconds of play awards double points. The game may be set to dispense tickets or coupons, the latter requiring the installation of a printer.

Veggie Blast, designed primarily for children, presents an array of randomly moving vegetable creatures that the player must take under fire with a "force-feedback" pivoting gun shaped like an ear of corn, activated by two buttons on its control yoke. It is important to avoid hitting the bombs interspersed with the vegetables. Hidden "mini games" offer the chance to win additional tickets. "It's every kid's dream – blast the veggies and win points," the manufacturer explained. Veggie Blast made its debut at the recent EAG show in London.

Details on Unis games may be requested from general manager Steven Tan by calling (905) 477-2823 or U.S. sales manager Debbie Gonzalez at (714) 377-0508.
