SAN FRANCISCO -- The Condé Nast consumer magazine that celebrates all things high-tech has published a highly positive profile of one of America's iconic purveyors of retro-tech. Wired magazine's feature on Stern Pinball appeared Sept. 29. | SEE STORY
The publication claimed that flipper game designers "have become an endangered species" who practice what "may be a dying art."
At the same time, the piece admiringly noted "the creative minds at Stern are nonetheless continuously creating new machines that can keep their industry moving forward and give them one more replay."
The feature repeated Stern's preferred description of itself as the world's only pinball manufacturer.
