Ball Spectacular is the latest Namco game for the ticket-redemption category. It looks and feels like a pachinko game -- players press the game's button to drop a ball onto its vertical peg-filled playfield. But unlike many pachinko-style games, the ball in Namco's game can travel through several ticket gates. If it travels through several ticket gates, the player wins the accumulated amount of tickets.
At the beginning of Ball Spectacular, a skilled player can drop the ball through the moving "5 ball" gate, and this releases five balls for a chance at scoring more tickets.
It also has a unique jackpot feature. If a ball falls through a rotating gate at the bottom of the playfield, a tray filled with balls at the top of the machine tips over and drops into the playfield. The cascading balls blitz the playfield resulting in a big-ticket payout.
The Illinois based gamemaker's popular pirate-themed shooter gets a cabinet makeover in Deadstorm Pirates Mini. The smaller cabinet has a footprint that's less than 25% of the original theater-size format, and its lower height better accommodates young players.
Funky Gators is a sequel to Namco's all-time classic Wacky Gators. Simple gameplay invites players to whack, with the soft hammer, as many alligators they can.
